So, either I killed him and the game de-spawned his body, or I just stunned him and he took off. Haven't seen him again since, and his body did vanish, cause I went back in my cyclops to try and get a better (and safer) look at him and get some more screenshots, but he was no where in sight. Grabbed a quick screenshot of him laying either dead or possibly stunned, and then headed straight for my base. The seamoth for example can out swim the reaper. Return to your vehicle when you hear the roar. That being said, you can hear the Reaper roar when you are near one. Shock it, hit it with your knife and repeat. I punched the crap out of him all 3 times, and after he grabbed me the third time, and I was punching him constantly he finally died. You can actually kill a Reaper Leviathan with a statis rifle and a knife. Then he finally grabbed me, in my prawn suit, and I punched him continuously until he let me go, then I ran for my base, and he was able to grab me 2 more times. I must have hit him about 100 or so times, every time he would go away, and then come back I was able to get in 1 to 3 punches, then he would go away and come back.ĭid this for like 20 minutes, he comes "in for the kill" I'd get in a couple or few punches. Plus, there's really nothing over there to even point you in that direction. I had a Reaper Leviathan show up in the safe shallows, luckily I was able to find a little entrance under some coral and he couldn't get close enough to grab me right away.Įvery time he would come at me, I punched him with my claw arm on the prawn suit (the default one, the one you can punch and pick up things with). Considering you either have to cross the Dunes or the Blood Kelp Trench, or take a long and convoluted route through the Sparse Reef, its not surprising most people don't wander there unprompted.
